Regardless of the time of the year, there are many safety concerns that are seasonal, specifically those that involve keeping your home warm. Here are a few tips to help ensure your safety no matter which heating device you may use.

  • Annually your central heating system should be cleaned, inspected and serviced by a certified HVAC (heating, venting, and air conditioning) contractor prior to using it.

  • If your source of heat is a fireplace you should get your chimney inspected annually to make sure it’s safe to use

  • Space heaters are a conveniently sized source but it’s crucial that they’re placed with at least 3-feet away from furniture or drapery.

Here at SERVPRO of Marion/Middleborough, we hope you and your family continue to stay safe and we hope these tips help you to do so!
